Joe (Makarewicz)'s retirement from the faculty of the Environmental Science and Biology department creates a void, and perhaps a new opportunity to explore new options with them. To that end, I contacted Chris Norment (CHAIR) and Jacques Rinchard (GRAD coordinator) today - email below:
I am looking forward to attending Ariel’s thesis defense, and
continuing to support the department through Digital Commons. I would welcome
the chance to meet with you to explore new ways to do this, and to discuss any
concerns you might have. The Water Resources collection – especially the
Technical Reports have been read by more than 11,000 people, and I wonder if
there aren’t other projects from your department that might benefit from such
exposure. If you would like to set up a time to meet, email me or we can chat
on the 20th.
